This typical product from Andalusia stems from the rear legs of 100% Acorn Raised Iberian pigs.
Raised in liberty in the Dehesas (pasturelands) in the northern zone of the province of Córdoba in a natural territory declared as the biosphere reserve Sierra Morena. The pigs are raised in a herd and fattened on sweet acorns.
A distinguishing feature of this ham is the purity of its Iberian pig breed, which has a characteristic extended and stylized exterior shape.
This Acorn Raised Iberico Ham Los Pedroches is cured in bodegas and drying rooms in the same area rearing grounds, following totally natural procedures.
When cut, the flesh is purple red and shiny.
Its flavour is pleasant characteristic of this product.
Unctous and shiny at touch.
At the palate, it offers an exquisit, elegant, fine, marked, rich and seducing flavour.
