Torta de Barros Goat is a typical product of Extremadure, artisan and traditionally made from the best raw goat milk.
It is a cured soft cheese or "torta".
It has a ripening time of more than 60 days.
Its rind is whitish yellow, thin and brittle, and sometimes cracks appear on it, through which it can be appreciated the interior. It has smooth faces and a perimeter surface with the maturity band imprinted.
It has a brigh white colour and a creamy texture with bright eyes unequally distributed.
Its flavor is mild, ideal for sensitive palates. It has a bitter aftertaste and a pure and delicate goat milk sensation.
It should be stored between 4 and 8 ºC (39-46 ºF).
Serve at 18-22 ºC (64-71 ºF).
