This red wine with Designation of Origin Ribera del Duero is made with the grape variety Tinta del País 100%, from rain-fed over 30 year old vineyards.
The Pinnafidelis wineries are located in the town of Peñafiel, Valladolid, next to the confluence of the Duero and Duratón rivers. They have 225 hectares of vineyards that they control in a rigorous way, selecting the best grape for the preparation of their wines.
The harvest is done manually, choosing the best bunches at the optimum moment of maturation, in which the grape has a greater concentration of color and tannins.
Once the grapes are harvested, the wines are macerated for 40 days, in order to intensely extract all the concentration of the grapes, and to round and refine the tannin.
It is grown in Spanish Oak barrels for 12 months, all of them light toasted, in order to preserve the characteristics of the grape.
It offers an intense cherry red color, bright and clean.
In the nose, it is a high intensity wine, with aromas of ripe fruit in compote, raspberry, cinnamon, cocoa and freshly roasted coffee. Over time floral aromas, violets.
In the mouth, it is powerful, full-bodied, with sweet, glyceric and friendly tannin.
